Barossa Cabernet Sauvignon has been Lindsay Stanley’s pride for decades, and this wine shows his vast experience and love for the variety. This was the first red wine made by Lindsay Stanley under his own label in 1991. This wine certainly set the precedent by winning the Cuno Pacific Trophy at the Barossa Valley Wine Show and to date has still a long way to go in the bottle. Beautifully structured and elegant, rather than overpowering, the 2005 Barossa Thoroughbred Cabernet Sauvignon has blackcurrant and plum characters, fine tannins and a soft finish. The wine drinks extremely well now, but will reward patience if cellared over several years.
